variwall
Installation

A. Quality of Installation

The entire installation shall have flat panel surfaces and tight, straight line joints. Components will not shrink, swell, warp, crack or open up and shall form a rigid structure which will retain its original appearance under normal use. After installation, partitions shall be free of exposed bolts, nuts, rivets or screws and all finished surface shall be free of tool marks.

B. Door Units

All partition runs shall be installed on top of finished flooring. Partition shall be scribed and neatly fitted to existing building conditions, erected in a rigid, straight manner with a horizontal line level. Floor fastenings shall be concealed and adjustable to floor level. Variwall DP completely partitions off space from ceiling to floor and does not neave any opening at the top and base.

Fixing Variwall DP to the ceiling and floor can be done by installing the sealing channel to the ceiling and the base channel to the floor. The common method of fixing Variwall DP to the ceiling is directly by screws or machine screws to the wood or light steel beam that are beyond the ceiling. In case there are no such beams at the place where the partitions are to be fixed, it would be advisable to install some other form of reinforcing materials rather than beams. A safe and easy way to fix Variwall DP to the floor is by screw anchor or hole-in anchor. Fixing the side post to the pillar shall be done by the same method as fixing the partitions to the floor.

For installations at jobsites, the joint section of top and base channel shall be properly adjusted by jack in the base channel and by bolt on top of the post so that installation may fit the installation allowance given to the ceiling and floor.
